Help Keep A Roof Over Our Kids’ Heads
We need your help now more than ever to keep a roof over our kids’ heads. After 30 years, the roof over the original half of our building is beyond repair. Some of you may have witnessed our leaks in Sal Borrelli Hall, in the small bingo hall, in the front lobby and in the old gym during and after heavy rain storms or once snow begins melting. It unfortunately has gotten to a point where it is dramatically disrupting some of our programs and events, and now jeopardizes our ability to continue to run certain events that have been in existence for over 30 years. This past snow storm took another major toll on the roof, and we are certain that it will not survive the winter.
The estimated cost associated with installing a new roof over the original section of the Wayne PAL building is $120,000. We have selected a contractor, and removal of the old roof and installation of the new roof begins next week (12/5/2011)!
Our goal is to raise the money needed for the new roof with your assistance through this new, online “Raise the Roof” campaign. With the help of the families and friends listed below, we have already raised $4,565.56.
The “Raise the Roof” campaign is simple…you or your family members or your friends can go onto our website and make a $25 contribution directly to the Wayne PAL that will be specifically used to pay for a new roof. The contribution can be made through PayPal with an existing PayPal account or with any major credit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express or Discover).
It is a simple, fast, secure and a great way to help the Wayne PAL keep a roof over our kids’ heads.
We hope to reach at least half of $120,000 goal by the end of 2011. Your donation to the Wayne PAL “Raise the Roof” campaign, as with any other contribution made to the Wayne PAL, is 100% tax deductible.
