We are pleased to introduce Barbara Michelson as our Director of Child Development & Educational Services.  Barbara holds a BA in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education (K-8), in addition to a Nursery School Certification and 9 graduate credits from Weelock College.  Barbara also has over 500 training hours related to various professional development programming and is often an instructor for staff training at other centers.  Barbara will be pursuing the process of having Little Footsteps maintain the same standards of quality care under the requirements for NAEYC once the center is open for a minimum of one year.

Barbara began here at the Wayne PAL in January 2004, where she developed our educational preschool programs and elementary after-school programs.  Prior to joining the PAL administration, Barbara has had many years of experience, running a reputable NAEYC-accredited child care center in Succasuna for over 12 years.  Before that, Barbara was the Assistant Director and Head Teacher for a private child care center where she taught 4 year olds and kindergarten.  Her dedication and commitment to quality care, along with extensive years of experience make her the right choice for leading the PAL's newest venture into child care.
